Our client, a respected and growing healthcare company based in Vista, is seeking a Medical Office Administrator to join their team. In this critical role, you'll help ensure smooth day-to-day operations while playing a key part in delivering exceptional service to patients. This is a dynamic opportunity for someone passionate about healthcare administration, providing top-level organizational support, and serving as the go-to person for both staff and visitors.

What You'll Be Doing:

Front Office Management: Oversee daily office functions, including scheduling, patient check-ins/check-outs, and answering phones with professionalism and courtesy.

Compliance Support: Ensure all procedures align with healthcare regulations, including HIPAA and other privacy policies.

Electronic Health Records (EHR): Maintain and manage patient records using systems like Epic or Cerner, ensuring meticulous accuracy in all data entry.

Coordination Role: Collaborate with medical staff and management on department goals, administrative projects, and patient satisfaction strategies.

Billing Assistance: Provide basic support to accounts payable, billing, and coding teams to ensure financial accuracy.

Problem Solving: Act as a liaison for patient and staff concerns, handling scheduling conflicts, administrative challenges, and other day-to-day issues.

Requirements

Experience: 2+ years of experience in healthcare or medical office administration.

Technical Proficiency: Knowledge of electronic health records like Cerner, Epic, or similar systems is mandatory.

Skillset: Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail are critical. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required for interacting with staff, vendors, and patients.

Education: An associate degree or higher in healthcare administration is preferred.

Certifications: Knowledge of RHIA or RHIT is a bonus.
