Description

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to support a small accounting team on a contract to hire basis. The ideal candidate will assist with invoice processing, vendor setup, and various AP tasks. This is a straightforward role that requires accuracy, dependability, and a good understanding of accounting processes in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:

Enter invoices into the accounting system with precision

Assist with the quoting process, sales orders, and understanding manufacturing workflows

Set up new vendors in the system

Help with weekly check runs and general accounts payable duties

Ensure no shortcuts are taken-must follow proper procedures

Maintain accurate records and ensure timely processing of documents

Perform basic Excel functions (pivot tables okay; no advanced functions like VLOOKUP required)

Support the AP team as needed during coverage

Requirements

Previous experience in an accounting or AP role (manufacturing industry preferred)

Familiarity with order quoting, sales orders, and invoice entry

Comfortable using Excel for simple tasks (sorting, filtering, pivot tables)

Proficiency in using Accounting software
