Job Description: Accounts Payable Specialist
Position Overview:
Robert Half is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team for a 6-month contract opportunity with one of our valued clients. This role involves managing essential accounts payable processes, confirming receipt of goods and services, processing invoices, maintaining files, and supporting other administrative functions. The ideal candidate will have experience with office equipment and possess strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate basic office equipment to ensure smooth workflow.
Verify receipt of goods and services to accurately process payments.
Process invoice payments using the State Financial System.
Maintain and organize both paper and electronic filing systems for documentation and records.
Perform additional tasks as assigned to support departmental needs.
Utilize Microsoft Excel for data tracking, Word for documentation, and Outlook for communication and calendaring activities.
Requirements
Required Qualifications:
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work independently.
Prior experience in accounts payable or a related finance role is preferred but not required.
