Accounting Support Specialist

Our client, a community-focused organization, is seeking an Accounting Support Specialist to join their team. As an Accounting Support Specialist, you will be part of the administrative support team, contributing to the efficient operation of the department. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, excellent organizational abilities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Accounting Support Specialist

Location: Ypsilanti, MI

Pay Range: $21-23.00/hr.

What's the Job?

Provide excellent customer service to all visitors and staff.

Perform a variety of office administrative support tasks, including scheduling meetings and maintaining office supplies.

Organize and maintain departmental records and files for compliance and decision-making.

Process contracts, invoices, and agreements requiring electronic signatures.

Record and publish meeting minutes for the Housing and Human Services Advisory Board.

What's Needed?

Working knowledge of accounting practices and principles.

Strong bookkeeping and organizational skills.

Ability to interact pleasantly with the public and employees.

Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite and personal computing equipment.

A minimum of two years of administrative and bookkeeping experience.
