The role you'll contribute:
The Senior Manager of Security Operations Center (SOC) and Emergency Management is responsible for maintaining the professional, effective, and efficient management of SOC equipment, systems, software, and personnel, as well as providing direction, support, and guidance for the Hospital Emergency Management program. This role involves coordinating strategic planning, process improvement, change management, implementation, and administration of systems, procedures, training, and operational components. Key responsibilities include supervising SOC personnel who monitor security operations across all campuses 24/7, ensuring that emergency and routine incidents are appropriately communicated and elevated to the relevant staff, including Supervisors, Managers, and Administration. The manager oversees Decedent Care Services. The manager also directs the actions of the hospital community during emergencies, coordinates the development, implementation, and maintenance of emergency management programs, and ensures compliance with AHCA, JCAHO, and CMS requirements. Additionally, the manager prepares and submits Comprehensive Emergency Management Plans for the County Region. This role actively participates in outstanding customer service and fosters respectful relationships across the organization.

Assist in policy writing and implementation.
Support leader in maintaining documentation necessary to ensure compliance with AHCA, CMS, JCAHO, OSHA, EPA, and federal safety mandates, including: Emergency Management Plans, Seven Environment of Care Plans, Hospital Statement of Conditions.
Oversee the hospital's Emergency Management Plan to improve the safety of patients, employees, physicians, and visitors.
Educate management and staff on their responsibilities during an emergency.
Serve as a Member or Chair any specific Committee as directed by their leader.
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed:
Bachelor's degree in criminal justice, business administration, information management, or an equivalent program. Required
Direct working experience within an Incident Command Systems (ICS). Required
5 years of security management experience. Required
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a strong understanding of English grammar and spelling.
Management skills, including the ability to prioritize and multi-task effectively.
Ability to manage personnel and complete tasks and projects, including organization, scheduling, and prioritizing work assignments.
Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in computer skills, including but not limited to Windows, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Knowledge of, and ability to operate, dispatch software and physical security systems (e.g., CCTV, access control, alarm monitoring, Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD), etc.).
Ability to maintain good interpersonal relationships with a professional attitude and conduct.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions, changes in priorities, and under stress.
High security awareness while maintaining confidentiality in all matters pertaining to patients, visitors, and employees.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and develop alternative solutions.
Ability to work independently and make sound decisions.
Ability to develop budgets at the department level.
Ability to work in a matrix-management environment to achieve organizational goals.
Basic hospital administrative knowledge to understand the aspects of Facilities Management and safety within a healthcare structure.
Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Completion of FEMA ICS Courses 100, 200, 300, 400, 700, and 800. Required
Professional Development Series Certification (FEMA) Required
Certified Healthcare Protection Administrator (CHPA) Preferred
Certified Emergency Manager (CEM) Preferred
