GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB:

The Sr Associate, Acctg Supply chain will be a member of the Accounting Center of Excellence - Global Accounting Supply Chain team. A principal responsibility will be to support the Global process controls for supply chain accounting. In addition, a key responsibility of the role will be to support the monthly and quarterly close timelines in this area across the organization to ensure the quality and timeliness of all financial data gathered.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assist in the implementation of consistent supply chain accounting practices and standards across global operations to ensure accuracy, comparability, and compliance.

Collaborate with Global Business Services and functional teams to manage process changes that improve efficiency and accountability, including integrations of other financial reporting systems with SAP reporting.

Prepare and review monthly journal entries and account reconciliations in accordance with close timelines and accounting standards.

Continually assess processes to ensure compliance with internal control and Sarbanes-Oxley procedures

Coordinate with internal and external auditors by fulfilling documentation requests and supporting audit activities.

Contribute to special projects as requested by management including financial system integration projects, process improvement and projects relating to new or enhanced reporting requirements

Knowledge of US GAAP

Ability to evaluate, develop, and improve financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.

Highly organized with strong attention to detail in maintaining comprehensive documentation of accounting procedures and technical issues.

Collaborative team player, committed to supporting finance functional objectives, and organizational goals, initiatives, and directives.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting

A minimum of 2 - 3 years' accounting experience

Experience working in consumer-packaged goods (CPG), fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) and/or consumer durables industry a plus

Proficient in Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel skills required (e.g. pivot tables, vlookup, complex formulas).

Prior experience with Hyperion Financial Management, including FDM, Smartview and AdHoc reporting tools, SAP and Blackline experience a plus

Solid understanding of general ledger systems

The Connecticut base pay range forthis position is from $89,200 to $108,200. Salary will be based on prior experience related to the skills required for this position.
