Description

Partner with management to understand and execute the organizations human resources and talent strategy particularly as it relates to talent needs, hourly staffing, employee engagement, retention, and onboarding.

Oversee employee disciplinary meetings and terminations in accordance with company policies.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date HR files, records, and documentation including employee personnel files, driver DQ files, terminations, employee processing forms, and coaching notices.

Manage the local talent acquisition process, including sourcing, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants, particularly for warehouse selectors and drivers.

Collaborate with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings and ensures proper onboarding.

Provide support and guidance to management, and staff when complex and sensitive questions and issues arise.

Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

2+ years of experience in human resources OR degree in human resources/exposure to policies and practices of HR through a past job/internship.

2+ years of Microsoft Office experience including proficiency within Excel

Strong interpersonal skills and professionalism.

Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $24.00/hr.
