Job Title: Bottling Department Operator

Job Description

This position involves operating one or multiple pieces of manufacturing equipment. Responsibilities include handling raw materials, filling, capping, sealing, labeling, and packaging products. The role also involves removing damaged products or supplies, performing production, package, and flavor changeovers, and maintaining required product inspection processes. Basic troubleshooting and minor repairs to ensure efficient production equipment operation are also part of the job.

Responsibilities

Operate and monitor production lines to ensure efficiency.

Remove or shift materials and/or finished products to facilitate proper flow.

Ensure package and product quality.

Perform preventative maintenance.

Operate all manufacturing equipment, including new technologies, efficiently and safely.

Clean equipment and area before, during, and after shift.

Maintain a clean work area through good housekeeping practices.

Expedite repairs to the line, working with maintenance as necessary.

Keep daily records of downtime and machine operations.

Work well with others in a team-oriented atmosphere.

Regular, reliable, and predictable attendance.

Essential Skills

Experience with high-speed production lines.

Experience with pallets, including operating a forklift and stacking/bundling product.

Experience operating a packing machine.

Experience operating a filler machine.

Experience operating a palletizer.

Experience reading blueprints and schedules.

Experience with computers in a manufacturing setting.

Experience with sanitization and Good Manufacturing Practices in a food plant.

Experience with minor mechanical repairs.

Experience with preventative maintenance.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Mechanically inclined.

Experience with hand and power tools.

Experience in warehouse production, picking, pallet jack operation, material handling, unloading, shipping, and receiving.

Schedule

Early morning shift starting between 4am and 6am, with overtime, and potential weekend work.

Work Environment

The work environment is a clean production facility. The position requires lifting, carrying, and pushing/pulling cases weighing 20-45 pounds repeatedly over a long work period. The role involves walking or standing most of the time during the shift, and may include stooping, crawling, and crouching over and under conveyors. The position may also require working weekends and/or holidays.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
