Overview

We are currently looking for a Regional Delivery Driver to join our team and deliver propane to our customers located primarily throughout the Southwestern part of the United States in accordance with company standards while maintaining the professional and positive image of Suburban Propane.

Responsibilities

As a Regional Delivery Driver, you will be part of a team of passionate and professional individuals committed to customer service. We will help you jumpstart a rewarding career by providing you with the tools and training necessary to deliver fuel in a safe andefficient manner to our customers' homes and businesses.

Deliver fuel for Suburban Propane locations primarily in the Southwest US in accordance with Company and government regulations.

Maintain safety and compliance records.

Maintain delivery vehicle. Review maintenance record, perform pre- and post-trip inspections.

Account for funds and inventory with a handheld terminal

Secure truck and equipment consistent with security policy.

This position requires extended hours, including weekends, holidays and an average of 3-4 nights overnight travel every week.

Qualifications

To operate our company vehicles, you must have a minimum of a Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with HAZMAT, tanker, and air brake endorsements as well as a valid Medical Examiner's Certificate allowing for operation in interstate commerce. Don't have the required endorsements yet? No problem, we will give you time and training to help you get them.

High School diploma, GED, or equivalent training and experience

Clean driving record with a valid Class B (at minimum) Commercial Driver's License with HAZMAT, tanker, and air brake endorsements as well as a valid Medical Examiner's Certificate allowing for operation in interstate commerce

Overnight road experience preferred

Ability to work independently as well as with other Suburban Propane employees

Knowledge of MS Outlook for submitting paperwork and expense reports

Ability to lift and pull equipment that weighs 75 to 100 lbs.
