SUMMARY: This 12 month, full-time, non-exempt position supports the Assistant Superintendent by\ assisting with assigned duties adhering to all confidentiality rules, policies, and procedures.\ ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Other duties may be assigned.

Assists Assistant Superintendent with coordinating state testing information and setup

Tracks information and completes governmental reports as requested by the Assistant\ Superintendent

Organizes/Orders/Distributes curricular and training materials

Submits EREQS for the Assistant Superintendent

Updates staff about trainings and establishes access to academic programs

Assists staff with registrations for events/professional memberships/etc.

Assists with Title program communication and documentation

Assists with KSDE compliance requirements and documentation

Point of contact for St. James Catholic School

Manages facility usage requests

Works with expelled/long-term suspended student documentation and coordinates district\ success mentor involvement

Assists with preparation/communication for professional development, committee meetings,\ building updates and KIDS/KSDE reporting

Makes and receives telephone calls, takes messages, and routes calls

High school diploma required

Three years of related work experience and/or training preferred

REASONING ABILITY: To apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions\ furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. To deal with problems involving several concrete\ variables in standardized situations.\ OTHER SKILLS and/or ABILITIES:

To establish and maintain effective working relationships with district staff

Knowledge of various computer applications as well as general office equipment

Excellent organizational skills

Bookkeeping and/or accounting knowledge

Proficient in a variety of word processing and spreadsheet applications

To perform duties under the demands of multiple tasks and directives occurring\ simultaneously

To maintain confidentiality in all dealings and anticipate future needs and problems

To perform duties with awareness of all district requirements and Board of Education\ policies

Occasionally, yet essential to this position, the individual must meet deadlines\ with severe time constraints and meet multiple demands from several people. This employee\ must be able to pass a physical and drug test.

To communicate clearly and concisely both in oral and written communications\ MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: To add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using\ whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. To compute rate, ratio, and percent. To draw\ and interpret graphs.
