Job Posting: Manufacturing Plant Mechanic

Location: Pooler, GA

Compensation: $26/hr

Duration: 3 Month Project Assignment

Start Date: ASAP

Position Summary:

We are seeking a Mechanic to join our team for a short-term project in Pooler, GA. This role is critical to maintaining the efficiency of our machines and tools, preventing malfunctions, and ensuring a high standard of product quality. As a full-functioning technician, you will be responsible for a wide range of maintenance, repair, and service activities, adhering to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs).

Primary Responsibilities:

Understand and follow industrial safety practices and regulations.

Utilize Root Cause Analysis to investigate operational errors and recommend corrective actions.

Develop and coach others on Standard Operational Procedures (SOPs).

Perform diagnostics, lubrications, changeovers, overhauls, and emergency repairs on machines.

Handle preventive maintenance and document all work performed accurately.

Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and prioritize repairs.

Participate in developing maintenance plans using CMMS / SAP systems.

Requirements:

Technical diploma preferred but not necessary with relevant experience.

Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in varied environments.

Willingness to travel for business training purposes.

Basic computer knowledge and ability to communicate effectively in English.

Previous experience in a food manufacturing facility or similar industry as a maintenance mechanic.

Strong understanding and application of advanced troubleshooting techniques, including pneumatic/hydraulic and plant systems maintenance.

Experience:

2+ years of professional maintenance experience.

2+ years of manufacturing experience.

Skills:

Proficient in CMMS, blueprint reading, and shop drawings.

High level of organizational, reading, writing, and advanced mathematical skills.

Ability to work independently, multitask, and operate standard trade tools and machinery.
