Medical Administrative Specialist

Full Time Monday through Friday 8am-4:30pm

Pay Rate: $19-20/Hr

Work Environment: Office/Large Health System/Hospital Setting

Job Summary:

-Handles phone calls, transferring calls appropriately, taking messages, and responding to e-mails and patient complaints.

-Performs front desk duties to include greeting customers and accepting deliveries.

-Complete spreadsheets.

Candidate will be assisting the Hospital team with transitioning all legacy sites from the Cerner EMR system to the EPIC EMR system.

Candidate will mostly be assisting with readiness activities. They will be expected to assist with presentation preparation, scheduling meetings, managing excel sheets, managing and organizing Sharepoint records, creating meeting agenda documents and dispersing ahead of meetings, and occasionally assisting with physical meeting set up if needed. Training for this position will be minimal so the candidate will need to be self-directed and able to hit the ground running.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Required Skills & Experience:

-Previous clerical and/or retail experience.

Required Education:

-HS Diploma or G.E.D.

Preferred Education:

-Associates degree or Bachelor's Degree.

REQUIRED: Associate's Degree (10 years experience and HS Diploma/GED can be accepted in lieu of Associates degree), minimum 3 years experience in secretarial roles, knowledge/ability within Microsoft Office Suite. * Preferred: Previous experience with Teams application.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $20.00/hr.
