JOB DESCRIPTION:
This position performs administrative work in the areas of consumer complaints, consumer affairs,and the review and analysis of compliance with rules and records management. Must work independently and with others to apply the Commission's policies, rules, guidelines and procedures in determining solutions for identified problems.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
The employee is responsible for executing the following functions: (Note: The omission of specific job duties does not preclude management from assigning specific duties not listed herein if such duties are a logical assignment to the position.)
Reviews and coordinates all aspects of the processing of consumer complaints.
Assists administrators and technical personnel in identifying any problems related to the management of consumer records related to the operation of the Commission.
Provides input and recommendations relative to the Commission database and website.
Assists management team in the preparation of special reports.
Answers a multi-line telephone console, answers general questions, directs calls to the appropriate staff member, and takes messages as required.
Verifies closed complaint and on-site visit documents and other documents as needed and scans into CIMS.
Assists with organization and maintenance of student records.
Assist with the processing of requests for student academic records (transcripts) and other educational materials and assist with the searches of the Commission Information Management Systems (CIMS) for the optical images of any applicable data. Searches may also include paper documents, microfiche, and other digital images. Verify that any confidential information is matched to the requestor. Assure that the information is forwarded to the requestor in accordance with established Commission guidelines.
Assist with production, searching and collating of documents for public records requests to include redaction of protected student information and other related tasks.
Performs other duties as assigned.

- Annual Leave - All full-time Career Service employees filling established positions earn annual leave in varying increments dependent upon years of creditable service. Employees with up to 5 years of creditable service earn 8.667 hours per month, with 5 to 10 years earn 10.833 hours per month and those with over 10 years of service earn 13 hours per month. Employees in Senior Management Service and Selected Exempt Service positions are credited with 176 hours of annual leave upon appointment. In subsequent years, the annual allotment is credited on the anniversary date of the initial appointment.
