The ITW Body & Fuel division is seeking a Staff Accountant in our Mokena, IL location to provide accurate and timely financial information for internal and corporate reporting. The Staff Accountant will reconcile balance sheet accounts by predetermined due dates, manage fixed assets, and complete ad-hoc analysis as required. This role will partner with operations, Sales, and Marketing to improve overall performance/productivity and communicate effectively with internal and external partners.

Core Responsibilities

Prepare monthly journal entries and account reconciliations for specified general ledger accounts. Perform day-to-day general ledger accounting, financial reporting & analysis for assigned functional areas. Track, record, and prepare payouts for various commissions, rebates, and bonus programs. Track capital project spending and related depreciation, create capital expenditure authorizations, capitalize assets, generate related reporting, and manage audit requests. Research and resolve divisional inquiries from corporate or external partners. Participate in the development, enhancement, and monitoring of company internal controls. Ensure company policies are being followed as well as implementation of new controls as they arise. Provide financial support for various special projects including cost analysis, internal/external audits, sales/use tax audits, manufacturing surveys and other ad-hoc requests. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required or equivalent advanced degree. CPA or MBA preferred Minimum of 1-3 years of Accounting or Finance experience Advanced MS Excel skill, Power BI or similar database experience Working knowledge of ERP systems, financial report writers, business intelligence systems (e.g., Cognos, is a plus) Strong business communication and excellent analytical skills, including the ability to analyze raw data and apply creative/innovative analysis, and the capability to form key, succinct, and actionable insights and recommendations Collaborative and highly communicative, self-directed with high orientation to teamwork Manufacturing experience preferred (Cost Accounting / Fixed Assets)

Most time will be spent in an office environment. Occasionally the employee may be required to spend time in manufacturing and construction sites. Certain personal protective equipment is required when in the manufacturing areas and construction sites.

Compensation Information:

$81,000-$85,000
