Job Title: Accounting Clerk I

Location: Port Arthur TX

Job Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk I to join our customers Finance Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing payments, maintaining cash drawers, supporting dual enrolled students, and creating collection spreadsheets for Retail Merchants. If you have a keen eye for detail and excellent customer service skills, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:

Process payments and maintain cash drawers

Support dual enrolled students

Create collection spreadsheets for Retail Merchants

Ensure accuracy and compliance with financial procedures

Minimum Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent

Excellent customer service skills with great attention to detail

Proficiency in operating office equipment such as computers, calculators, copiers, and fax machines

Preferred Qualifications:

Associate's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field

2-4 years of experience in cash handling and processing credit card/check transactions

Knowledge of Ellucian Banner and/or TouchNet

Bilingual in Spanish

Additional Details:

Salary: $31,000 - $33,000 depending on experience

Work Hours: 40 hours per week
