Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Program Manager to join the FLAT Engagement team within Kuiper's Inventory Fulfillment and Supply Chain organization. This role will support the launch and scaling of Kuiper's global fulfillment models by operationalizing engagement with Finance, FinOps, Legal, Accounting, Trade, and Tax (FLAT) stakeholders.
As Kuiper expands into non-Retail geographies and fulfillment models that differ from Amazon-native systems, compliance readiness and system extensibility become critical. This Program Manager will partner with a Senior Product Manager to implement and evolve a structured engagement framework that enables timely, compliant launches and reduces technical debt across financial and legal systems.
This is a unique opportunity to contribute to one of Amazon's most innovative programs, playing a pivotal role in enabling global expansion through operational rigor, compliance foresight, and scalable design.
Key job responsibilities
Operationalize FLAT Engagement Frameworks
Implement standardized intake, prioritization, and escalation mechanisms to support timely involvement of FLAT stakeholders in country launches, program design reviews, and compliance readiness milestones.
Lead Cross-Functional Requirements Mapping
Drive structured engagement with Accounting, Tax, Trade, Legal, and Finance stakeholders to align on jurisdiction-specific and fulfillment model-specific requirements, particularly in non-Retail countries.
Manage Risks, Issues, and Dependencies
Own RAID tracking for all FLAT deliverables; proactively escalate integration gaps (e.g. UCS, FRAMES, Payee Central), unresolved compliance requirements, or delays to the Product Manager and leadership teams.
Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
Partner with engineering, product, and FLAT stakeholders to define and execute test plans for financial and compliance workflows (e.g., tax booking, customs, fixed asset registration, revenue/cost recognition).
Drive Documentation and Tooling Adherence
Ensure traceability and auditability of all FLAT decisions through Jira, xRD tooling, and standardized templates. Maintain clear documentation of design decisions and cross-functional agreements.
Enable Repeatable, Scalable Execution
Identify reusable frameworks and opportunities to codify best practices (e.g., JEM templates, customs invoice mapping logic, DSN traceability workflows) across future launches and fulfillment models.
Support Strategic Planning and Go/No-Go Readiness
Contribute to the definition of launch-readiness gates for FLAT domains and own the operational execution of those checkpoints within broader Inventory Fulfillment launch planning.
Partner with Senior Product Manager
Collaborate to evolve the FLAT 3-Year Plan, align near-term roadmaps with cross-functional timelines, and communicate key risks, progress, and decision points to leadership.
Export Control Requirement:
Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
About the team
The FLAT Engagement team sits at the intersection of product, compliance, and operational excellence. We ensure that as Kuiper enters new markets and innovates on inventory fulfillment strategies (including consignment, rental, and direct-to-technician delivery), our financial, legal, and tax partners are embedded in the launch lifecycle from the start. Our team exists to de-risk global expansion, drive automation of manual compliance processes, and create repeatable patterns across geographies. This Program Manager will be a foundational team member and instrumental in building this function from the ground up.
