Operations Manager - Princeton, IL
What You Will Do:
Creates and maintains a safe work environment and proactively solves safety issues.
Engages employees and drives positive culture change by supporting their needs and rewarding and recognizing them for accomplishments.
Ensures quality standards are being met to provide our customers defect free product.
Meets on time delivery commitments to our customers.
Is a pro-active change agent that drives continuous improvement and ensures sustainability.
Establishes and drives standard work adherence.
Maintains 5S, visual management and good housekeeping practices.
Establishes and maintains staffing plans for operations to meet the business objectives.
Partners with leadership team peers to meet plant objectives.
Ensures MDI (Managing for Daily Improvement Process) is compliant and active.
Establishes and maintains operational metrics. Demonstrate Allegion Leadership Competencies and Values
Meets cost objectives for the plant; achieves productivity targets, minimizes overtime and monitors discretionary spending.
Develop technical and leadership expertise through coaching and mentoring
Drive operations to world class lean processes by following an EntEx Vision
Responsible for project management
Interview, hire, and train employees; plan, assign, and direct work; appraise performance; reward and discipline employees; address complaints and resolve problems
Reviews and analyzes proposals and determine if benefits derived and possible applications justify expenditures.
Leadership skills to effectively manage teams in achieving organizational objectives.
Solid analytical skills necessary to coach others in structured problem-solving approach, including but not limited to A3, 9-step, & 8-D
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks to meet deadlines.
Team: Reports directly to the Plant Manager, Responsible for (7) salaried supervisors (covering three shifts), Responsible for 200+ hourly associates, through the supervisors
What You Need to Succeed:
Bachelor's Degree, preferred Engineering, Operations or Technical required, MBA preferred
10 years' experience, including a minimum of 5+ years of leadership experience
Must have the skill set to drive lean transformation by eliminating waste and increasing the velocity of customer orders once released to the facility.
Must have good understanding of manufacturing flow in a plant
Must be a proactive change agent and possess leadership skills to build and maintain a team-oriented environment while leveraging lean methodologies; is committed to continuous improvement
Understanding of Statistical Process Control, Lean Manufacturing, Root Cause Analysis, Design of Experiments.
Must possess a strong customer service orientation and provide dedicated support of internal customer requirements
Must be resourceful, and find solutions to unusual problems to meet customer needs
Demonstrated organizational skills to manage multiple priorities at once.
Excellent written, oral communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage individuals across all levels within the organization
The ability to influence bottom line results
Indirect influence and management; builds trust and involves others
Must have solid interpersonal skills, ability to interact with various departments throughout the organization

Compensation: This range is provided by Allegion. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience.
The expected Base Salary Range: $90,000-$130,000. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
