How you make a difference

As the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) , you'll lead with purpose and vision, combining executive management expertise with a deep understanding of nursing practice, clinical standards, and regulations. You will set the strategic direction for nursing across the facility, ensuring exceptional care, accountability, and fiscal responsibility .

With ultimate authority and responsibility for nursing services, you'll champion a culture of excellence and innovation while shaping the future of patient care. Key Responsibilities

Policy Development and Compliance : Lead the planning and revision of nursing practice policies and procedures to ensure compliance with ACA, NCCHC, state standards, and contractual requirements.

Patient Care Standards : Establish, evaluate, and maintain nursing care standards consistent with national, state, and local regulations, ensuring high-quality patient care.

Quality and Risk Improvement : Collaborate with Quality/Risk Improvement initiatives, participate in corporate committees, and assess the effectiveness of CQI programs to improve outcomes and work conditions.

Nursing Workforce Management : Develop and implement credentialing, orientation, training, and recruitment/retention strategies, working with HR to address turnover rates and enhance staff development.

Corporate Leadership and Reporting : Serve as a corporate nursing liaison, establish clinical care standards, and prepare timely reports for executives and the Board of Directors to align nursing operations with organizational goals.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education:

Required: Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.

Required: Master's degree in nursing or other healthcare management field.

Experience:

Required: Five (5) years clinical experience (i.e. Emergency Room, Communicable Disease, with Medical and Surgical experience preferred).

Preferred: Experience in psychiatric or mental health setting.

Licenses:

Required: Registered nurse license to practice in state of employment.
