DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As an Administrative Assistant 1, you will serve the Field Operations Section which includes hearings and suspensions as well as quality assurance activities. Assignments include analyzing administrative or staff operations and procedures, developing and recommending work standards and procedures, conducting research, and preparing reports or findings. You will also be responsible for preparing and creating agendas, maintaining records and spreadsheets, preparing reports, and editing clerical staff correspondence. Employ your critical thinking skills to provide recommendations to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of workflow and customer service in relation to hearings and violation sanctioning within the Vehicle Inspection Division and Hearings and Suspensions Unit. This position requires a detailed working knowledge of the functions and procedures of the Vehicle Inspection Division and Field Operations Section, including the Hearings and Suspensions and Quality Assurance Units.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment, 75 hours/week.
Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
Such training as may have been gained through graduation from a four year college or university ;or
Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
Additional Requirements:
You must be able to perform essential job functions.
