Position Summary:

The Field Electrician is responsible for performing hands-on electrical work, including line voltage and low voltage installations, wiring, mounting, and termination. This role requires a degree of independence, technical expertise, and problem-solving ability to complete projects efficiently and accurately. The ideal candidate must hold a valid E-2 License and demonstrate a commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and customer satisfaction. Additionally, the electrician will provide training and mentorship to team members and apprentices

as needed.

Job Functions:

Electrical Work

Mount and secure electrical components, including junction boxes, conduits, panels, fixtures, sensors, and other field control devices.

Terminate wiring with precision and accuracy, ensuring compliance with local and national codes.

Field Operations

Perform on-site troubleshooting and diagnosis of electrical issues, providing effective solutions.

Interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to execute tasks correctly.

Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols and best practices.

Training and Mentorship

Train and guide apprentices and team members in proper electrical techniques and safety protocols.

Provide hands-on instruction to develop skills in wiring, mounting, and termination.

Offer constructive feedback to help team members grow in their roles and improve their performance.

Project Execution

Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other trades to complete projects on time.

Provide regular updates on job progress, challenges, and completion timelines.

Conduct thorough testing and inspections of electrical systems to ensure functionality and safety.

Compliance and Licensing

Ensure all work complies with NEC (National Electrical Code) standards and local regulations.

Maintain a valid E-2 License, staying updated with any industry or regulatory changes.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Valid E-2 Electrician License with proven field experience.

3-5 years of experience as a licensed technician.

Proficiency in working with both line voltage and low voltage electrical systems.

Expertise in mounting, wiring, and terminating electrical components.

Strong understanding of electrical codes, standards, and safety protocols.

Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.

Ability to work independently and manage tasks with minimal supervision.

Effective communication skills for collaborating with team members and clients.

Strong leadership and mentorship abilities to train and guide others.

Physical stamina and dexterity to handle tools, equipment, and various job site conditions.
