This position involves primarily TIG welding, with a small percentage of MIG welding, on stainless steel materials. The role requires handling low-volume, high-precision welding tasks with a strong focus on quality and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Perform welding operations using MIG and TIG techniques to join and fabricate metal components according to blueprints, drawings, and specifications.

Prepare metal surfaces by cleaning, grinding, and shaping them to ensure proper fit and optimal welding conditions.

Inspect welded components for quality assurance, making necessary adjustments or repairs as needed to meet internal and external quality expectations.

Utilize job knowledge to continuously improve the quality and cost-effectiveness of welded products.

Collaborate closely with the fabrication team, including project managers, engineers, and other welders, to ensure efficient workflow and meet project deadlines.

Maintain accurate records of welding activities, including material usage, production rates, and any issues or defects encountered.

Perform secondary machining operations and simple maintenance on tools and equipment as required.

Develop and approve relevant work instructions as needed.

Exhibit leadership characteristics in attendance, positive team participation, cost reduction, and quality improvement.

Cross-train in welding, blueprint reading, and MIG welding tasks.

Essential Skills

TIG welding proficiency

Ability to read and interpret blueprints

Experience in MIG welding

Ideally 5 years of experience with stainless steel MIG and TIG welding

Ability to work within .015-.20 tolerances

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
