Production Mechanic

Aerotek is currently hiring for Production Mechanics in the Jessup area! Qualified candidates will be able to do the following:

Troubleshoot, maintain, and perform emergency repairs to various @types of industrial machines in the production area.

Operate power equipment in accordance with OSHA and company safety standards.

Notify maintenance and supervisor of needed machine repairs or areas of maintenance concern.

Control downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques and monitoring compliance.

Maintain equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory levels; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt.

Monitor, identify and respond promptly to signs of malfunction in machinery such as changes in performance, temperature fluctuations, sounds, smells, or atypical energy usage; perform troubleshooting for production machinery.

Perform emergency repairs on various @types of machinery, including mechanical, electric, and hydraulic; identify and replace worn or damaged parts in a timely manner.

Inspect machines regularly for signs of malfunctions, including visual inspections, listening for irregular noises, and conducting scheduled testing as appropriate.

Schedule and perform routine preventative maintenance and service for each piece of equipment.

About:

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $30.00/hr.
