ROLE SUMMARY :
Proactive, independent professional providing high-quality administrative support for the R&D Chief of Staff. Handles multiple priorities and information flow efficiently, ensuring commitments are met with excellence and integrity. Possess exceptional administrative skills and a strong understanding of the R&D organization. Identify issues in ambiguous situations and resolve a broad range of problems and conflicts with autonomy and grace. They plan and prioritize effectively to manage and prioritize a high workload and work collaboratively with R&D partners to ensure an integrated approach and alignment on best practices.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES :
The major responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Develop strong understanding of the R&D organization, i.e., people, pipeline, and capabilities, and actively leverage this knowledge to support priorities and commitments.
Provides high-level administrative support to the R&D Chief of Staff.
Makes travel arrangements with accuracy and completeness.
Collaborates with other assistants to ensure efficient workflow and coordination of tasks.
Take initiative to bring forward ideas for more efficient operations.
Ensures confidentiality and integrity of the executive office.
Demonstrates expert collaboration and communication skills in a team environment, share knowledge, influence best-practices and coordinate workflow.
Uses judgment to make decisions on complex and/or routine matters with limited oversight.
Prioritizes work and commitments based on COS needs.
Uses in-depth understanding of Pfizer and R&D organization structure to support COS.
Understands how decisions will impact Pfizer and R&D and uses this understanding when completing own work.
Independently gathers information from across Pfizer to assist in solving a problem.
Proactively anticipates needs/requests and takes appropriate action.
Establishes relationships with all internal constituencies to expedite completion of own work
Identifies issues/conflicts and implements most appropriate solutions that impact completion of own work
Evaluates solutions for effectiveness and incorporates learnings into work.
Schedules and plans meetings, inviting appropriate internal/external individual as directed.
Has accountability for special projects as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum High School Diploma or GED with at least 4+ years in an administrative role supporting senior management in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment
Ability to apply knowledge of the business and integrate into daily tasks to achieve successful outcomes.
Excellent organizational skills.
Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to prioritize work and deliver projects on time with high quality while facing multiple distractions.
Demonstrates expert knowledge and proficiency with general office procedures such as, customer service, e-mail etiquette, commonly used office software (e.g., Outlook, MS Office-Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio) and expert knowledge of Pfizer specific processes and procedures applicable to the line/Site (e.g., GDMS, PT&E, ARIBA, Digital on Demand platforms). Skilled in utilizing the following Pfizer applications and systems: Microsoft Teams, Meeting Services, Reserve).
Conducts all activities and makes decisions in accordance with Company policies & SOPs, Pfizer Values, & global regulatory guidelines (including cGMP/Culp/cGCP), environmental guidelines, as appropriate, etc.

Preferred Qualifications:
Associate or bachelor's degree preferred
Experience in the Biopharmaceutical industry - familiarity with the R&D function
Experience as an Administrative Assistant supporting executive leadership in a global organization

The salary for this position ranges from $28.98 to $48.30 per hour. In addition, this position offers eligibility for overtime, weekend, holiday and other pay premiums depending on the work schedule and the Company's policies.
