Description

One of our clients is looking for a Senior Accountant for a contract to permanent placement opportunity.

Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP and company policies.

Month-End and Year-End Close: Lead month-end close activities, including preparing journal entries, reconciling general ledger accounts, and analyzing variances.

Reconciliations: Execute complex balance sheet and account reconciliations, identifying and resolving discrepancies.

Audit Support: Assist with internal and external audits by preparing schedules, providing documentation, and participating in audit meetings.

Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate with finance teams to analyze financial data, assist with budgets, and provide insights into performance trends.

Process Improvements: Review current accounting procedures and propose improvements to streamline processes and enhance operational efficiency.

Team Collaboration: Liaise with different departments such as FP& A, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable to ensure accurate accounting and reporting.

Requirements

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required; CPA certification a strong plus.

Experience:

Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in a senior accountant role or relevant capacity.

Previous experience in corporate accounting or public accounting (Big 4 or mid-tier firm experience preferred).

Skills:

Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles.

Proficiency in ERP system and advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and macros).

Proven ability to manage priorities and meet tight deadlines.

Soft Skills: Exceptional analytical skills, high attention to detail, and strong written and verbal communication abilities.
