We are seeking an enthusiastic and proactive Operations Area Manager to lead our production cells. This management role is pivotal in driving operational excellence by balancing effective people leadership with a focus on continuous improvement. You will be responsible for guiding your team to meet production targets, enhancing operational processes, and fostering a culture that embraces efficiency, quality, and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership & Development:
Manage, mentor, and support a diverse team within your operational area.
Conduct regular performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and identify professional development opportunities.
Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture where team members are motivated to excel.
Operational Management:
Oversee day-to-day operations in multiple production cells, ensuring targets for output, quality, and safety are met.
Monitor production metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs), taking prompt corrective actions when necessary.
Ensure adherence to company policies, standard operating procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Continuous Improvement:
Lead continuous improvement initiatives by applying lean manufacturing principles and other process optimization methodologies.
Identify inefficiencies and implement innovative solutions to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and improve overall operational effectiveness.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive systematic improvements and share best practices across the organization.
Strategic Planning & Execution:
Develop and execute operational strategies aligned with company objectives.
Assist in planning resource allocation and production scheduling to meet fluctuating demands.
Participate in regular leadership meetings, contributing insights to support broader business initiatives.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years' experience in a manufacturing or operations environment, with a demonstrated history of leadership or supervisory roles.
Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.) and a proven ability to drive change.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make informed decisions.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of engaging effectively with all levels of the organization.
A proactive mindset with a strong drive to coach, motivate, and develop teams.
