Technical Operations Manager (Pecos, TX) - Full Time
Plan, direct, or coordinate activities in engineering. Lead the technical department of field engineers, programmers, automation technicians and instrumentation technicians by planning, coordinating, budgeting, accounting, and organizing all technical processes. Advise on potential improvements and anticipate future needs. Manage and coordinate projects, service calls, and solution for Oil and Gas Energy, both in terms of related site installation and commissioning activities, both on call and turnkey, to meet contract obligations. Responsible for leading the Technical Team and enabling development and training of team members. Ensures that all employees meet the technical requirements outlined for each project. Advise on the most efficient processes for all aspects of the technical operations department and deliver improvements where inefficiencies exist. Plan adequate staff cover and access to technical/operational facilities to facilitate current and future work. Manage, track and report issues across the technical operations team and implement a continuous improvement process to rectify any problems or lessons learnt. Provide weekly reports to the Director of Operations and hold regular meetings with team leads as well as Sales as required. Delegate and supervise appropriate tasks and responsibilities to the team leads and conform editor. Organize and lead project review meetings and all forms of communication with clients-customers. Identify and carefully evaluate risks and opportunities working with multiple functions to mitigate them. Keep clients-customers updated about design changes and relevant technical information.
Position Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering Management, or Engineering, Electronics Engineering or related engineering field, plus 24 months of experience in job offered or as Engineering Manager, Engineering Operations Manager, Operations Manager or closely related.
