DATE: April 25, 2025 ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: This position reports to
the Executive and Artistic Director and will be an addition to the
Weidner\'s leadership team to oversee the business, finance and HR
functions of The Weidner, working closely with all departments of the
center. With an aptitude and enthusiasm for analysis, data and metrics,
this individual will optimize the operations of the arts center to help
The Weidner capitalize on its programmatic and community partnership
successes. This individual will oversee the development and monitoring
of Weidner systems, practices and policies that ensure efficiency,
accuracy and compliancy with university policies. This individual will
serve as the Weidner expert in the Workday transition, updating current
processes to align with performing arts management tools, including
Momentus Elite and Audience View. This position includes the following
responsibilities: Serves as a subject matter expert to unit leadership
regarding financial operations, status and reporting, and recommends
process improvements. Leads the development and preparation of regular
reporting and financial statements, including oversight of Ticketing and
Sales reports as required by the university and external partners. With
the Executive and Artistic Director, develop the annual budget and
develop quarterly reporting for Controller\'s Office. Serve as The
Weidner\'s expert on shared services and workflow management platforms
used by Business and Finance, including Purchasing and Controller.
Identifies process needs for Weidner Business and Finance functions and
make recommendations to the Executive and Artistic Director. Contribute
to the development of strategic and operational solutions, allocate
resources, and implements new or revised unit operational policies and
procedures. Oversee all Weidner contracting processes for review by
university Contract Authority, including facility use agreements,
agents, promoters, individual artists, vendors, joint venture partners
and others. With guidance from the Executive and Artistic Director and
the Controller\'s office where appropriate, execute all Weidner
financial transactions, including reconciliations, settlements, deposits
and invoicing of third party users. Manage and coordinate processes
between The Weidner and Weidner Center Presents, Inc., the UW-Green Bay
Foundation, Office of Grants and Research and other financial partners.
Act as backup approver for hours of student and LTE\'s. Collaborate with
supervisors to verify accuracy of hours submitted and processes for
verification. Monitor Production Manager\'s processes and documentation
for stagehand calls. Supervise Weidner Philharmonic personnel manager
for contracting of musicians. SPECIAL NOTES: Required to work varying
hours, including occasional evenings and weekends, depending on
settlement needs. Hours worked during any given day or week may also
vary with the (rare) potential to work in excess of 12 hours on event
days. The home campus of this position is Green Bay and the successful
candidate may occasionally be required to travel to or work at the
Marinette, Sheboygan or Manitowoc Campus, based on operational needs.
Position is a full-time Academic Staff appointment. Official transcripts
of the highest degree achieved will be required of finalist(s). A
criminal conviction investigation will be conducted on the finalist(s)
and if there is prior work history within the last 7 years with
Universities of Wisconsin, a personnel file review check for employee
