Full Time JLK Crewman
Assists with work in the operation, maintenance and repair of Arena, Event Room, Concessions, parking lots and other city owned property, with as few interruptions to the customers as possible. Ensures that customer service and reliability is best we can provide in all @types of weather conditions. Drives and operates a variety of specialized related equipment and vehicles to perform these duties. Be able to work with limited supervision. Ensures equipment is in proper working order. Responds to customer concerns. Graduation from high school or GED equivalent Sufficient experience in vehicles with standard transmission. 6 months experience in tractor operations. Must be able to clearly read and understand all written or verbal communication assigned and interact well in a team environment.
A valid Class C Texas Drivers License and have a good driving record. Because a valid Texas Drivers license is required or will be required within six months.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assists with work in the construction, maintenance and repair of Arena, Stalls and Event Center.
Cleans Stalls
Empties trash
Assists with Watering and dragging Arena
Cleans and sets up arena and event center for upcoming events
Sets up panels as needed
Monitors visibility of traffic signs and keeps trees and other growth trimmed accordingly
Monitor and address buildup of grass, weeds or dirt in cracks or gutters of Event Center
Takes monies for stall, shaving and RV rental
Sells alcohol
Responsible for maintaining assigned vehicle
Perform any other related duties
Learns and performs operation of heavy equipment
Perform strenuous work under emergency conditions and in all weather conditions
Required to work overtime as needed
All other assignments as directed by supervisor or Event Center and Arena Manager

DESIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Graduation from high school or GED equivalent
Sufficient experience in vehicles with standard transmission. 6 months experience in tractor operations. Must be able to clearly read and understand all written or verbal communication assigned and interact well in a team environment.
Necessary Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of methods, materials and tools used in Arena work; Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions of the trade and the ability to apply this knowledge to work situations.
Skill in the operation of the listed tools and equipment; Skill in the application of first aid methods, including artificial respiration.
Ability to follow proper methods, procedures and safety precautions of Arena work; Ability to understand and follow complex oral and written instructions; Ability to work under varying weather conditions; Ability to interact well in a team environment.
SPECIAL REQUIRMENTS
A valid Class C Texas Drivers License and have a good driving record. Because a valid Texas Drivers license is required, or will be required within six months, employment will be contingent upon negative results of a post-offer, pre-placement drug and alcohol test and subsequent random drug and/or alcohol test. This is in compliance with Department of Transportation regulations and City of Llano policy.
TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT USED
Motorized vehicles and equipment including pickup truck, ATV, forklift, generator and various hand tools. Ability to learn to operate heavy equipment, drive Trucks, Tractors, Water trucks.
