Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accountant to join our team in Fayetteville, Arkansas. This is a Contract-to-permanent position offering the opportunity to manage critical accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger maintenance, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring compliance with accounting standards and maintaining accurate financial records.

Responsibilities:

Process and record vendor invoices while ensuring accuracy and timeliness in accounts payable operations.

Monitor and manage customer invoicing and payment collections as part of accounts receivable responsibilities.

Reconcile general ledger accounts and record journal entries in adherence to accounting standards.

Perform monthly bank reconciliations, investigating and resolving discrepancies promptly.

Oversee the month-end close process by preparing account reconciliations and generating financial statements.

Support year-end close activities by preparing audit schedules and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Collaborate with vendors and customers to address payment and billing inquiries efficiently.

Maintain accurate financial records and provide analysis to management as needed.

Utilize accounting software to streamline processes and enhance operational efficiency. Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger maintenance, and reconciliations.

Advanced proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Oracle, or similar platforms.

Strong command of Excel, including pivot tables and v-lookups.

Demonstrated knowledge of month-end and year-end close processes.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.

Familiarity with ERP systems and financial reporting tools.

Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
