Description

We are looking for an experienced Accounting Supervisor/Manager to join our team in Herndon, Virginia. This is a long-term contract position offering an exciting opportunity to contribute to a growing, dynamic, and fast-paced work environment. The ideal candidate will play a key role in managing critical accounting functions, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and supporting audit processes.

Responsibilities:

Oversee and manage month-end and quarter-end closing activities to ensure timely and accurate reporting.

Perform account reconciliations and balance sheet analyses to maintain financial accuracy.

Prepare and review monthly financial reports to provide insights into company performance.

Support external audit requests by providing necessary documentation and resolving inquiries.

Assist in the implementation and integration of Oracle Fusion into existing accounting processes.

Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions to enhance efficiency.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

Provide guidance and mentorship to less experienced accounting staff as needed.

Handle ad-hoc accounting tasks and projects with minimal supervision.

Requirements

Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or a related field.

Proficiency in Oracle Fusion required

Familiarity with Oracle Fusion implementation (functional) processes preferred.

Strong expertise in month-end and quarter-end closing procedures.

Degree in Accounting required and CPA/CPA candidate highly preferred.

Experience in preparing and analyzing monthly financial reporting.

Prior experience supporting external audits and managing audit documentation.

Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently under tight deadlines.

Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
