Job Description

The Supply Chain Specialist / Logistics Account Executive will oversee the entire supply chain process, unlike many companies where tasks are divided among individuals. This role includes handling purchasing, internal production, and customer interactions to ensure a seamless process from start to finish.

Responsibilities

Receive daily customer orders and enter them into the system.

Coordinate with the production team to ensure materials are processed to meet customer due dates.

Resolve material issues by coordinating with relevant departments and negotiate new dates with customers if necessary.

Manage three smaller customer accounts independently and assist with larger accounts.

Place purchase orders with multiple suppliers.

Control inventory to balance customer demand and supplier schedules, preventing shortages or aged inventory.

Place sales orders and arrange deliveries to ensure on-time customer delivery.

Calculate pricing and develop budgets for expected sales and gross profit.

Maintain excellent relationships with customers and suppliers through daily follow-up.

Attend and facilitate meetings comfortably.

Set up new parts in the database using confirmed customer specifications.

Facilitate Just-In-Time (JIT) deliveries by coordinating with suppliers, production control, transportation companies, and customers.

Assist with accounting and quality issues when needed.

Essential Skills

Experience in purchasing, shipping and receiving, inventory management, and logistics.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

Strong negotiation skills.

Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Strong math skills.

Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Supply Chain, Business, Communication or Mathematics.

0-3 years of experience, with consideration for project or leadership roles if no direct experience.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience in procurement and purchase order management is a plus

Detail-oriented with strong attention to detail.

Comfortable running meetings and communicating with high-level executives.

Experience in logistics account management or account executing is a plus.

Work Environment

This is a direct placement position with a hybrid schedule: 2 days in the office and 3 days working from home, transitioning to 4 days onsite and 1 day at home. Initial training requires 5 days a week onsite for 2-4 weeks. The role operates Monday through Friday and is based at a corporate location housing multiple business functions, including steel and aluminum processing, warehousing, auto parts distribution, logistics, and corporate services.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $49920.00 - $49920.00/yr.
