If so, The Pfister is looking for an individual to be a part of our team and continue its iconic legacy. As a Cafe Server, it will be your responsibility to tailor the Cafe experience to each guest providing food and beverage services in a friendly, courteous, timely, and professional manner resulting in a superior level of guest satisfaction. Built in 1893, The Pfister Hotel in Milwaukee has been a hotel icon for nearly 130 years. As one of the best hotels in Milwaukee and the Midwest, we continue to celebrate a grand tradition of gracious service and impeccable style. The Pfister Hotel has received AAA Four Diamond hotel status for 46 consecutive years. The hotel is one of only 11 properties throughout North America to maintain the AAA Four Diamond designation since the inception of the Diamond Rating program in 1976. What will you be doing? Greet guests and explain specials & promotions. Record and input guest orders into the Point of Sale system. Retrieve, confirm, and deliver orders with condiments; follow liquor regulations. Replenish beverages and ensure overall guest satisfaction. Collect payment, thank guests, and invite them to return. Complete side work and cleaning tasks including restocking and replenishing condiments. Maintain self-banking procedures. Perform additional duties as assigned by the Manager. What do you bring to the role? Preferred: Prior food, beverage, cash handling and hospitality experience. Innate desire to serve and ability to maintain service and departmental standards. Basic knowledge of food & beverage preparation, service standards, guest relations, and etiquette. Learn table settings, service ware, and menu items. Proficient in English for menu comprehension, recording orders, and guest communication. Recall and promote menu items. Transport trays up to 30 lbs. through crowded spaces. Maintain professional demeanor and clean uniform. What\'s in it for you?
