Job Title: Construction Laborer

Job Description

Join a dynamic team as a construction laborer where you'll be involved in diverse tasks on various construction sites. You will gain hands-on experience and be taught everything needed on-site, with no prior experience required. Your role will include tasks such as holding a laser level stick, shoveling, crushing stone, and assisting with pipe and sewer line installations. This position requires comfort with traveling and working in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

Perform site work for various construction projects.

Assist in grading the site using a laser level stick.

Shovel and crush stones as part of the site preparation.

Assist with pipe and sewer line installations.

Travel to job sites across different locations as far south as Greenwich and as far north as Orange.

Adhere to instructions and work efficiently in diverse weather conditions.

Essential Skills

Possession of a vehicle and willingness to travel.

Basic knowledge and understanding of outdoor construction sites.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Any construction experience, including trenching and digging, is ideal.

Ability to move materials efficiently.

Preferred safety training, such as OSHA 10 certification.

Strong work ethic and reliability.

Work Environment

Work primarily takes place Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturdays. Hours start as early as 6:30 AM or as late as 8 AM, followed by 8 hours of work with a 30-minute lunch break. Self-transportation to job sites is necessary, as carpooling is not typically available. Join a team with two operators and three laborers currently working on site.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Monroe, Connecticut.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
