What will you do as a Accounting Associate?

The Accounting Associate supports the daily financial operations of the organization by performing a variety of accounting tasks. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, reconciling accounts, processing transactions, and assisting with month-end and year-end closing processes. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and familiar with accounting principles and practices.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Prepare and maintain financial records and reports.

Review and finalize daily manufacturing orders.

Review and post inventory transactions.

Maintain cost accounting records.

Maintain bill of materials.

Perform a variety of cost accounting tasks.

Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts.

Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.

Prepare journal entries and assist with maintaining the general ledger.

Help ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.

Respond to inquiries from vendors, customers, and internal departments regarding financial transactions.

Support audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.

Maintain organized financial files and records (both digital and physical).

Assist with budgeting and forecasting as needed.

Perform other accounting and administrative tasks as assigned.

Travel to Sales Centers as needed.

JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., Dynamics 365 Business Central).

Strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP).

Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Requirements

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.

1-3 years of experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Work in an office environment; sustained posture in a seated position for prolonged periods of time; may utilize a computer terminal for prolonged periods of time.

Work involves walking, talking and hearing using hands to handle, feel or operate objects. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to focus when using computer terminal.

PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT (PPE)

None

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The noise level in the work environment can be moderately noisy due to manufacturing equipment in operation.

Working hours are from 8 am to 5 pm depending upon schedules and the season, Monday through Friday with a one-hour lunch break, and 40 hours per week. Additional hours may be required occasionally.
