Job Title: Warehouse Specialist

Job Description

The Warehouse Specialist is responsible for maintaining organization and cleanliness throughout the warehouse and pharmacy areas. This role requires direct collaboration with the Warehouse Manager and effective communication with the purchasing department to ensure inventory levels are accurate and business needs are met. Additionally, this position supports other areas of the business, including Quality Control by performing floor inspections and audits, as well as providing assistance to the Production and Packaging Departments.

Responsibilities

Verify the accuracy of all materials from the receiving dock and ensure proper storage for production, packaging, and office departments.

Pre-stage all necessary materials for production, packaging, and office departments.

Organize and maintain cleanliness throughout the warehouse, including non-inventory related materials.

Ensure accurate material records in the computer software.

Perform daily cycle counts and maintain physical inventory accuracy.

Conduct Quality Control Department floor inspections and audits.

Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and accurately record daily time sheets and job jackets.

Ensure quality control (QC) and cGMP procedures are followed during product receipt, manufacturing, bottling, and shipping.

Assist in preparing shipments and outgoing paperwork.

Utilize software such as Word, Excel, QuickBooks, and email as needed.

Support the office with various duties and assist the packaging and production departments as necessary.

Maintain strict confidentiality and perform other related duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

Ability to calculate weight and volume in kilograms.

Proficiency in reading Bill of Lading (BOL) and Purchase Orders (POs).

Knowledge of computer programs including Word, Excel, and QuickBooks.

Strong organizational and detail-oriented skills.

Ability to prioritize tasks while multi-tasking effectively.

Capability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment.

Proficiency in working with low supervision.

Clear and effective communication skills.

Ability to deal courteously with vendors, customers, co-workers, and management staff.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience with inventory control, data entry, and scanning.

Forklift certification required.

Experience with RF scanner and PPE usage.

Comfortable working at heights up to 2-3 stories.

Ability to run a hand jack.

Capability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.

Work Environment

This role operates on a first shift schedule, Monday through Friday, from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM. The environment requires the use of PPE and involves working closely with the Quality team to understand processes related to vitamin and pill production. Physical demands include the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and occasionally climb ladders. Candidates must be comfortable working at heights and using a variety of office and warehouse equipment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wausau, Wisconsin.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
