Description

We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable for our client in New Orleans, Louisiana. In this Contract position, you will play a critical role in managing financial records, overseeing receivables, and ensuring efficient cash collection processes. This opportunity is ideal for individuals with strong organizational skills and a background in accounting principles. This is a short-term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

Process and track accounts receivable transactions to ensure timely and accurate payments.

Reconcile income accounts regularly to maintain financial accuracy and resolve discrepancies.

Download financial reports and reconcile them with the general ledger to ensure accurate recordkeeping.

Prepare and post journal entries related to accounts receivable activities

Utilize accounting software, including Oracle, to manage and streamline financial processes.

Communicate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders to address and resolve account issues.

Monitor billing and collections to maintain efficient cash flow.

Apply cash payments accurately to customer accounts and ensure proper documentation.

Identify and address any inconsistencies or errors in financial records.

Requirements

Proven experience in accounts receivable and financial reconciliation.

Strong understanding of fundamental accounting principles and practices.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial software; experience with Oracle is a plus.

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial data.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Familiarity with billing, cash applications, and collections processes.

Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
