Accounts Payable Clerk

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Windsor, Connecticut. In this long-term contract position, you will play a key role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of financial transactions. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a dynamic manufacturing company while utilizing your expertise in accounts payable and data entry.

Responsibilities:

Process invoices and vouchers with high accuracy, ensuring compliance with company policies.

Perform data entry tasks to maintain up-to-date and accurate financial records.

Handle accounts payable transactions, including verifying, coding, and reconciling invoices.

Utilize ERP systems, such as Macola, to manage financial data and streamline processes.

Collaborate with internal departments to resolve discrepancies and address payment-related inquiries.

Prepare and maintain detailed reports on accounts payable activities.

Ensure adherence to deadlines for invoice processing and payment schedules.

Support month-end and year-end closing procedures by reconciling accounts as needed.

Stay updated on best practices and company guidelines for accounts payable processing. Requirements

Proven experience in accounts payable or a related financial role.

Strong data entry skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.

Familiarity with ERP systems is highly preferred.

Solid understanding of accounts payable processes and general accounting principles.

Proficient in using Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.

Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively in a team environment.

Prior experience in the manufacturing industry is a plus.
