We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Pearland, Texas. The ideal candidate will play a key role in maintaining financial accuracy and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the organization's success through your expertise in accounting processes.

Responsibilities:

Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions to ensure timely and accurate processing.

Perform bank reconciliations to verify account balances and identify discrepancies.

Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring all entries are accurate and complete.

Prepare and post journal entries to support financial reporting requirements.

Assist with the month-end close process, including reviewing accounts and preparing necessary adjustments.

Utilize SAP software to streamline accounting operations and improve efficiency.

Collaborate with team members to ensure compliance with company policies and accounting regulations.

Generate financial reports and statements to support decision-making processes.

Analyze financial data to identify trends and recommend improvements.

Support audits by providing documentation and explanations for financial transactions.

Requirements - Minimum of 1 year of experience in accounting or related roles.

Proficiency in accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes.

Strong knowledge of bank reconciliations and general ledger management.

Experience with preparing journal entries and handling month-end close.

Familiarity with SAP software and its application in accounting.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.

Effective communication skills for collaborating with internal teams and stakeholders.
