Job Title: Quality Control Chemist

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Quality Control Chemist to perform testing and evaluations of raw material, bulk, and finished products in accordance with written procedures. This role ensures product quality specifications and customer standards are met, utilizing data to focus improvement efforts. The candidate will work independently in a fast-paced environment, maintaining compliance with current regulatory expectations and practices.

Responsibilities

Perform testing and evaluations of raw material, bulk, and finished products in accordance with written procedures.

Ensure current standard operating and test procedures are utilized.

Maintain accurate documentation records in compliance with GMP requirements.

Develop and maintain understanding of various testing methodologies, including appropriate techniques and potential errors.

Ensure neat and accurate records and clean, organized work areas.

Ensure product quality specifications and customer standards are met and maintained to the satisfaction of the customers.

Ensure test results meet current specifications prior to completion/approval.

Perform batch adjustments as needed in batch making procedures.

Troubleshoot out of specification (OOS) situations.

Maintain current reference and product standards.

Update test procedures and specifications as needed.

Utilize data to focus improvement efforts to meet customer requirements and regulatory regulations.

Accurately record all data (cGMP) and pertinent information.

Accurately document monthly Key Quality Incident (KQI).

Document OOS situations, determine root cause, and suggest possible solutions.

Maintain compliance with current regulatory expectations and practices (e.g., USP).

Understand and maintain a culture of 'lean action' within the department.

Essential Skills

B.S or B.A degree in Chemistry (Or related)

0-1 year(s) of industry experience in a laboratory setting

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $26.00/hr.
