Description We are looking for a meticulous and motivated Staff Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Roebuck, South Carolina. In this role, you will handle a variety of accounting tasks, ensuring that financial records are accurate and up-to-date. Responsibilities:

Maintain and update financial records to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.

Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, including timely invoice processing and payment tracking.

Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger while ensuring proper documentation.

Reconcile bank statements and investigate any discrepancies to maintain accurate records.

Assist in the preparation of financial statements and management reports.

Support audit activities by gathering required documentation and performing fieldwork tasks.

Collaborate with the team on accounting projects and special initiatives.

Ensure compliance with tax regulations by supporting tax preparation activities.

Utilize accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills to streamline financial processes.

Perform additional job-related duties and contribute to the success of the accounting department. Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.

Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, SAP, or NetSuite.

Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including experience with formulas and data analysis.

Strong understanding of double-entry bookkeeping methods and general ledger functions.

Familiarity with tax regulations and compliance requirements.

Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.

Strong analytical skills for interpreting and resolving financial data issues.

Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
