Job Title: MA

Job Description

The MA supports a primary care clinic by providing essential patient care and administrative duties. This role includes rooming patients, taking vital signs, performing phlebotomy, and following up with patients for procedure/test scheduling or referrals as needed.

Responsibilities

Room patients and take their vital signs and weight.

Ensure test results are received and communicated to patients in a timely manner.

Document all interventions, patient/family responses, and medications dispensed/prescribed in the medical record.

Maintain an adequate stock of supplies and ensure equipment is well-maintained.

Monitor and ensure the accuracy of patient medical records.

Maintain all required reports, records, and statistics.

Maintain confidentiality regarding the practice, its patients, and employees.

Operate a variety of office and medical equipment, including but not limited to telephone, computer, fax, stethoscope, scales, thermometers, blood pressure cuff, and basic lab equipment.

Take calls from hospitals/nursing homes and relay appropriate information to practitioners in a timely manner.

Essential Skills

Experience with scheduling and vital signs monitoring.

Proficiency in phlebotomy.

LPN or MA certification.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Strong emphasis on phlebotomy.

Work Environment

Clinic Setting: Family Medicine

Schedule: M-F 8-5

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
