Our client, a leader in IT Operations, is seeking a Windows Systems Engineer to join their team. As a Windows Systems Engineer, you will be part of the Windows Operations Engineering and Support team, supporting various technical projects. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a collaborative spirit which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Windows Systems Engineer
Location: WayChester, NY (Hybrid)
Pay Range: $80,000 - $115,000
What's the Job?
Lead and support technical projects, ensuring optimal system performance and accessibility.
Analyze existing systems, recommend improvements, and implement solutions.
Act as an escalation point for service desk tickets and coordinate resolutions with Systems and Networking teams.
Train and collaborate with team members.
Develop and enforce system hardening guidelines and maintain documentation.
What's Needed?
7+ years of experience in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
Hands-on experience with VMware (vSphere, ESXi), NetApp, PURE, and Azure SSO.
Extensive experience with Windows OS (all versions), VMware (all versions), AD, and DNS.
Strong skills in scripting (PowerShell/Batch) and Azure PAAS infrastructure.
