Our location in Lake Forest, IL currently has an opportunity for Financial Supervisor. This role ensures division leadership has the accurate and timely financial data to support decision making. This opportunity with Abbott's Rapid and Molecular Diagnostics Division (RMDx) finance team is for a result driven and well-organized individual with strong analytical, communication, financial systems, and Excel skills. This role reports to the RMDx Division HQ FP&A Director and will primarily be responsible for various Div HQ FP&A consolidation activities, performing Balance Sheet, Cash flow and P&L analytics, and ensuring Corporate deliverables are completed accurately and timely.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Liase between Div HQ, the Business Units Finance teams within RMDx (Point of Care, Infectious Disease, Cardiometabolic, Consumer Products, and Toxicology), and Abbott Corporate FP&A.
Lead the forecasting, and consolidation process for the RMDx global P&L Balance Sheet, Cash flow and Cash Conversion Cycle. Complete Corporate deliverables during the forecast process.
Prepare month end close management reporting; analysis of Sales, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow and P&L trends and comparisons vs. benchmarks (comparisons to Plan, LBE, and Prior Year); identify key drivers as part of variance analyticsand prepare accurate and insightful variance commentary.
Complete currency exchange rate analysis related to the Balance Sheet and Cash Flow Statements.
Collaborate with RMDx Business Unit Finance, and Local/Entity Finance teams on Monthly and Quarterly Financial Planning and Reporting requirements.
Serve as the RMDx Capital Coordinator, liaising between the Business Unit Finance teams within RMDx and Abbott Corporate FP&A
Identify and drive opportunities to improve/streamline monthly
Perform ad-hoc analyses based on needs of Finance leadership and RMDx management, evaluate overall Division performance and items such as new initiatives and cost savings opportunities. Assist with preparation of management PowerPoint presentations.
Provide guidance and feedback for two Senior Financial Analysts on the team
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU'LL BRING
Bachelors in Accounting/Finance, Business, or Economics.
Minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience in a fast-paced work environment with frequent deadlines; ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks.
Previous experience working with large amounts of data and proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint. Solid accounting knowledge and strong technical systems skills such as SAP and Hyperion preferred.
Experience developing financial models that consider multiple variable input factors and analyzing various financial scenarios, historical financial performance, etc
Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of internal clients. Flexible and well-organized with a strong attention to detail and ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Reasoning - Ability to solve problems with complex variables through non-standardized solutions that require independent judgment and analysis. Ability to draw inferences and use deductive reasoning with no prescribed procedures to solve complex problems.
Robust analytical and problem-solving skills and the capability to conduct complex data analysis.
Minimal to no travel required.
PREFERRED
CPA/MBA preferred

The base pay for this position is $85,300.00 - $170,700.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
