Job Title: Construction Accountant

Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Construction Accountant to join our team! The ideal candidate will manage accounting operations for various construction projects, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and manage monthly financial reports, including project draws, AIA documents, sworn statements, and related waivers. Track and record accounts receivable, ensuring timely follow-up on payments. Oversee vendor and subcontractor payments, verifying all necessary documentation is in place. Collaborate with project managers to monitor budgets, analyze costs, and provide financial insights. Implement and maintain Percentage of Completion accounting methods to ensure accurate project forecasting. Assist in the preparation of financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP and other regulations. Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with tax laws and reporting requirements. Perform additional duties as assigned to support the finance team.

Qualifications:

Associate degree in Accounting required Bachelor's degree is highly preferred. 5+ years of progressive accounting experience Construction industry experience. Proven experience with job costing and financial analysis. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications. Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
