Position Summary
The Warehouse Maintenance Technician will support the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of our Distribution Center (DC). This onsite role combines traditional mechanical and electrical maintenance with support for operational technology systems such as automated material handling equipment (MHE), control systems, sensors, networked equipment, and Warehouse Management System (WMS) interfaces.The Warehouse Maintenance Technician should be equally comfortable troubleshooting conveyor motor issues or a PLC fault code and thrives in a fast-paced, high-tech distribution environment.
Essential Functions and Duties
Mechanical and Electrical Maintenance
Perform routine and corrective minor maintenance including but not limited to conveyors, packaging systems, dock equipment, HVAC, lighting, and other facility infrastructure within the Warehouse.
Troubleshoot and repair minor mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
Conduct minor preventive maintenance (PMs) and inspections to ensure equipment uptime and longevity.
Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and commissioning.
Regularly inspect equipment to identify potential safety hazards and address them promptly.
Work with external Vendors as needed to coordinate and perform major PMs on MHE systems, HVAC, Refrigeration etc.
Maintain an inventory of spare parts for MHE including but not limited to conveyor systems, racking, power supplies etc.
Operational Technology Support
Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot automated systems including PLCs, HMI terminals, barcode scanners, IoT devices, and control panels.
Collaborate with IT and WMS teams to support interface issues between operational systems (e.g., conveyor controls and warehouse software).
Support MHE systems including troubleshooting faults, performing resets, and updating system firmware/configurations as directed.
Maintain documentation related to control system layouts, device IPs, network configurations, and schematics.

Warehouse Maintenance
Hanging/Mounting equipment in warehouse i.e. shadow boards
Replace minor damaged upright and/or beams
Reprofile beam heights as needed and directed by Senior Management
Assemble storage shelving and workstations
Safety and Compliance
Ensure all work is performed in accordance with OSHA and company safety standards.
Maintain records of maintenance and repairs in CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
Support audits and regulatory inspections as needed.

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Required Education:
Bachelors degree in a related field of study; or four (4) years relevant experience in industrial maintenance or a similar role in lieu of degree.
Required Experience:
Minimum of three (3) years [seven (7) for non-degreed candidates] in industrial maintenance or a similar role.

Required Knowledge:
Basic understanding of electrical and control systems (e.g., PLCs, sensors, relays, Ethernet/IP).
Familiarity with maintenance tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
Familiarity with reading technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings.
Knowledge of computers to operate effectively with Warehouse Management Systems, outlook, PowerPoint, Word and Excel.
Preferred Knowledge:
Experience in a distribution center or automated warehouse environment.
Exposure to WMS/WES systems (e.g., Manhattan, SAP EWM, etc.).
Basic networking knowledge (IP addressing, switches, device setup).
CMMS experience (e.g., Maintenance Connection, Fiix, or similar).
OSHA 10 or 30-hour certification.
Required Skills:
Must be able to Operate material handling equipment i.e. forklifts, scissor lifts etc.

Physical requirements
Vision, hearing, speech, movements requiring the use of wrists, hands and/or fingers. Must have the ability to view a computer screen for long periods and the ability to sit for extended periods. Must have the ability to work the hours and days required to complete the essential functions of the position, as scheduled.
