Job Summary and Qualifications
Physical Therapy Assistant - PRN / Per Diem / As Needed
The Physical Therapy Assistant delivers high quality, patient-centered care by providing a variety of delegated therapeutic services, in accordance with licensing and regulations. Under the supervision of the primary Physical Therapist, the PT Assistant performs direct physical therapy tasks to achieve the goals of the physician's plan of care and to support patients throughout the home health program.
What you will do in this role:
Directs and aids patients in active and passive therapeutic exercises, muscle reeducation, gait and functional training, transfer activities, and the use of prosthetic or orthotic devices.
?Treats patient to relieve pain, develop or restore function, and maintain maximum performance. Utilizes physical agents such as heat, cold, water, light, electricity, ultrasound and massage.
?Observes and reports patient's reaction to treatment and changes in patient's condition.
?Instructs patients in care and use of wheelchairs, braces, crutches, canes, and prosthetic or orthotic devices.
?Provides patient progress reports to primary physical therapist.
?Assumes accountability for promoting consistent, positive patient interactions that advance the agenda of unparalleled patient service.
?Maintains a patient-first philosophy, and supports the development and implementation of strategies to elevate the patient experience.
?Participates as an engaged, active member of the health care team and positively promotes the rest of the team to patients/families/caregivers and other colleagues.

What qualifications you will need:
State Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant
Vocational School Graduate
Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
