Job Description

AECOM is seeking a Construction Engineer to be based in Southern California.

This position is expected to begin in June 2025.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

Perform on-site construction inspections to verify compliance with plans and specifications during construction.

Coordinate construction work activities with other members of the project team.

Performs field measurements of construction work items and calculates quantities of for contractor payment.

Prepares daily diaries and work reports, tracking workforce labor and equipment and working conditions

Performs a variety of assignments designed to develop professional work knowledge and abilities, requiring application of standard techniques, procedures and criteria in carrying out tasks.

Qualifications

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or Construction Management program, from an accredited university.

Valid U.S. Driver's License required to regularly drive AECOM vehicles to project sites.

As a condition of employment, selected candidate must pass a Motor Vehicle Records review.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Previous exposure or strong interest in transportation infrastructure construction.

Knowledge in using CAD and MS Office.

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $65,000.00 - $80,000.00.
