Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented and friendly Medical Receptionist to join our team in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. This position offers an excellent opportunity to grow within the healthcare industry while playing a vital role in ensuring smooth clinic operations. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a medical, dental, or veterinary setting, but we are open to training motivated individuals with strong customer service skills.

Responsibilities:

Welcome patients and visitors warmly, ensuring a positive first impression.

Schedule appointments efficiently while managing the calendar to avoid conflicts.

Make reminder calls to patients about upcoming appointments.

Prepare and organize patient charts to ensure accurate documentation.

Process co-payments and handle basic financial transactions.

Assist with medication authorization requests and follow up as needed.

Check patients in and out, ensuring all necessary information is updated in the system.

Answer multi-line phone systems, providing accurate information and directing calls appropriately.

Requirements

At least 1 year of experience in a customer-facing or administrative role, preferably in a healthcare or related field.

Familiarity with basic medical terminology and processes.

Proficiency in managing multi-line phone systems.

Ability to schedule and coordinate appointments effectively.

Strong attention to detail when handling patient charts and records.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Capability to handle financial transactions such as co-payments.

Willingness to travel to another clinic location on specific days.
