Description

We are looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team on a long-term contract basis. In this role, you will handle high-volume invoice processing and ensure accurate data entry across multiple accounts. Based in Vestavia Hills, Alabama, this position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities:

Enter invoices into QuickBooks for multiple accounts, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

Process and organize weekly payable runs, including preparing checks for mailing.

Maintain organized vendor files by filing invoices and check stubs appropriately.

Communicate with vendors to resolve invoice discrepancies as needed.

Manage a high volume of invoices, processing 400-500+ invoices weekly.

Collaborate with accountants and controllers to support accounts payable operations.

Ensure all invoices are coded and approved before entry into the system.

Assist with other administrative tasks related to accounts payable as required

Requirements - Proven experience in accounts payable or a related field.

Proficiency with QuickBooks, particularly the desktop version, is highly preferred.

Strong data entry skills with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.

Ability to handle high volumes of invoices while meeting deadlines.

Familiarity with Microsoft Excel for organizing and tracking data.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Effective communication skills for vendor interactions.

Flexibility to work on-site during standard business hours.
