The Role

The Legal team provides support to each facet of the Cypress Creek Renewables, LLC organization, with competencies ranging from M&A, complex financings, development, procurement, real estate, construction and general corporate governance. The internship will provide exposure to a wide variety of legal work by affording the candidate the opportunity to both work closely with the company's attorneys in their day-to-day activities and work independently on long-term assignments.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Draft ancillary documents and provide general transactional support to attorneys on M&A and financing transactions

Organize deal documents and corporate governance documentation

Perform diligence-related tasks

Perform research assignments

Organize in-house knowledge resources

Work cross-functionally with project development, structured finance, EPC and O&M teams

Qualifications

Current 1 st or 2 nd year law school student

Demonstrated interest in renewables sector

Strong analytical skills

Excellent communication skills - both written and oral

Creative problem-solving

Highly organized and punctual

Strong self-starter who is a team player and can work independently

Timing: The position will be available for a 10-week period from May to August. The candidate will be expected to work 40 hours a week.

Location: We have offices in Santa Monica, CA, San Francisco, CA, Durham, NC, and Asheville, NC and New York, NY . Preferably a candidate will be based near one of our office locations.

Compensation: The hourly rate for our Graduate/MBA internships is $30-$35/hr.
